Statement of Faith

  • We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and that all scripture is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. “  (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21, John 17:17)

  • We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, that these are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.  (Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-4, 1 John 5:7)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth and the life” and that no one comes to the Father except through him.   (John 14:6)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten son, was crucified, buried and rose again on the third day.  (Philippians 2:5-11, Hebrews 1:2-3

  • We believe that “salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to man by which we must be saved.”  (Acts 4:12)

  • We believe that “if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.”  (1 John 1:8)

  • We believe “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us  from all unrighteousness.”  (1 John 1:9)

  • We believe “it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."   (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • We believe that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” and can fully redeem and   powerfully use those who have received this redemption and salvation. (1Timothy 1:15)

  • We believe that every believer in Christ is the “temple of the Holy Spirit.”  (1 Corinthians 6:19)

  • We believe we have “different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit.”  (1 Corinthians 12:4)

  • We believe that “our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”  (Philippians 3:20-21)

  • We believe that we ought to “live holy and godly lives” as we look forward “to the day of God”  and his return.   (2 Peter 3:11,12)
